Spring in Seoul Begins at Gwangjang Market
Two Marches ago I sat at a corner stall near the north entrance of Gwangjang Market and paid KRW 3,800 for a bowl of ssuk-guk (mugwort soup). One-Day Sample Route
10 a.m. at Gwangjang Market for mugwort soup and mung-bean pancakes. Post-lunch transfer: Line 2 Euljiro 4-ga → Line 5 Yeouinaru, 30 minutes. Rent a bike at Yeouido Hangang Park for an hour, walk Yunjung-ro for another hour. 7 p.m. at Changgyeonggung (pre-booked). Return via Line 4 from Hyehwa to the hotel.
One stamina tip — this loop totals roughly 45,000 steps. Without a one-hour nap at the hotel between lunch and dinner, your legs stop before you hit the palace gate.
