Day 1: Hongdae & Mapo — The Fan Base
Morning: Arrive and settle in Hongdae
Hongdae (Hongik University area) is the epicenter of Seoul's youth culture and K-pop street scene. It's within walking distance of several must-visit spots.
11:00 — Hottracks / What The Book / SOUNDWAVE (음반사)
Multi-floor K-pop album and merchandise stores cluster around Hongdae station. Browse new releases, find limited edition albums, and pick up photocards.
13:00 — Lunch at Hongdae
Try tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, or one of the trendy K-pop themed cafes. Several cafes display fansigns and idol photos — ask locally which group-themed cafes are currently running.
15:00 — YG Entertainment Headquarters (Hapjeong)
Walk or take the subway one stop to Hapjeong. YG Entertainment is nearby — photo spot for BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, and WINNER fans. The building exterior is the classic photo; don't expect access inside.
Evening: Hongdae Night
Hongdae's street performers (버스킹) sometimes include K-pop cover dancers, especially on weekends. The area is lively until midnight.
Day 2: Yongsan & Han River — HYBE Territory
09:00 — HYBE INSIGHT Museum (용산)
Book tickets in advance on Weverse Shop. The museum features immersive exhibitions on BTS and other HYBE artists, with exclusive archive material, costumes, and behind-the-scenes content.
Nearest station: Hannam Station (Line 6 / Gyeongui-Jungang Line)
Opening hours: Check Weverse for current schedule — typically 10:00–18:00, closed Mondays.
Afternoon: Han River Walk
After HYBE, walk to the Han River (한강) at Banpo Bridge or Yeouido. BTS has filmed extensively along the Han River. Yeouinaru Park and the sunset over Banpo Bridge are particularly photogenic.
Evening: Itaewon / Hannam-dong
The Hannam-dong area near HYBE has upscale K-pop-adjacent cafes and boutiques. Several idol brands and stylists have stores here.
Day 3: Gangnam & SM/JYP Country
Morning: SM Entertainment (Seongsu / SM Artist Connections)
SM Entertainment's main campus is in Seongsu-dong. The area around Seongsu has become a trendy boutique neighborhood — many SM artist collaboration cafes appear here. Check current pop-ups on fan Twitter/X.
SM Store (SMTOWN)
The official SM merchandise store (SMTOWN & Store) is located in Coex Mall, Samseong. Open daily — sells current and archive SM artist merchandise, photocards, and limited editions.
12:00 — Coex Mall & SMTOWN Store
Coex is massive — allow 2 hours. The SMTOWN store sells EXO, aespa, SUPER JUNIOR, SHINee, NCT merchandise. The K-Star Road begins nearby.
15:00 — K-Star Road (Apgujeong)
Take Line 3 to Apgujeong. The street features bear sculptures representing K-pop groups, with Korean Wave (한류) themed installations along Rodeo Street. Great for photos.

JYP headquarters is near Hakdong or Nonhyeon. Photo spot for TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, and DAY6 fans.
Day 4: Myeongdong Shopping + Insa-dong K-culture
Morning: Myeongdong K-pop Shopping
Several dedicated K-pop stores line Myeongdong's main shopping street. Brands like Kakao Friends, Lotte Duty Free (idol endorsements), and tourist-focused K-pop shops are all here.
Key shops:
- Yes24 and HotTracks branches (albums, photocards)
- BT21 × Kakao Friends stores (BTS character merchandise)
- Individual artist merchandise pop-ups (check Weverse/Twitter for current locations)
Afternoon: Insadong & Bukchon
Insadong has a more traditional K-pop souvenir scene — handmade goods, dalgona candy, and Korean cultural items that also appear in K-pop concepts and MV aesthetics.
Evening: Nighttime Seoul from Namsan
End the trip with Seoul's skyline from Namsan Seoul Tower — a filming location for numerous K-drama scenes. Cable car or walking path to the top.
Practical Fan Tips
Photocards: Bring small zip-lock bags or binders for storage. Trading cards with other fans is a community staple — bring extras of your group's cards if you want to trade.
Fan cafes: Naver Café hosts official and fan-run communities. Most require Korean phone verification to join, but browsing is open.
Concert logistics: If attending a concert, arrive 60–90 minutes early for lightstick purchases, fan goods pick-up, and seat finding. Major venues sell out of official merchandise fast.
Language: Basic Korean phrases like "이거 있어요?" (Do you have this?) and "사인 포토카드 어디 있어요?" (Where are the signed photocards?) will get you far. Staff in K-pop stores often have some English.
Budget:
- HYBE INSIGHT: ~₩22,000–30,000
- Album shopping budget: ₩30,000–100,000 depending on how deep you go
- Concert ticket: ₩88,000–165,000 (regular seating range)
