HYBE, SM, YG & JYP Headquarters Tour: K-pop Label Guide Seoul (2025)
For K-pop fans visiting Seoul, the label headquarters are pilgrimage sites — places where the music is made, where artists walk the same corridors, and where fan culture achieves its most concentrated form. None of the buildings offer public interior tours (except HYBE INSIGHT), but the exterior visits and surrounding neighborhoods are rewarding in themselves. Here's how to do the circuit.
HYBE (하이브) — Yongsan / Hannam-dong
Artists: BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, &TEAM, LE SSERAFIM, and more
Address: 40 Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
Access: Hannam Station (한남역), Line 6, Exit 2 — walk approximately 10 minutes toward the Han River. Or Itaewon Station (이태원역), Line 6, Exit 4 — walk approximately 15 minutes.
The HYBE building is a sleek, multi-story glass headquarters that became one of Seoul's most photographed spots after BTS's global rise. Fan gatherings near the entrance are common, particularly on artist birthday anniversaries and comeback dates.
HYBE INSIGHT Museum The public-facing museum inside HYBE headquarters is the only way to enter the building legitimately. Exhibitions rotate but typically cover:
- BTS archive: stage costumes, handwritten lyrics, rare photographs
- Immersive multi-sensory installations themed to albums
- HYBE label history and artist development
- Interactive sound booth experiences
Tickets: Book at weverse.io (Weverse Shop). Approximately KRW 22,000–30,000.
Hours: Typically 10:00–18:00; closed Mondays. Check for schedule updates.
Adjacent: The Hannam-dong neighborhood around HYBE has upscale cafes, concept stores, and boutiques — several with K-pop adjacent branding. The Leeum Museum of Art is a 10-minute walk.
SM Entertainment (에스엠엔터테인먼트) — Seongsu-dong
Artists: EXO, aespa, SHINee, NCT / NCT 127 / NCT Dream / WayV, SUPER JUNIOR, Red Velvet, and more
Address: Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu (multiple SM buildings in the area)
Access: Seongsu Station (성수역), Line 2
SM's main campus is in Seongsu-dong — a rapidly gentrifying former industrial neighborhood now known for independent cafes, vintage furniture studios, and design boutiques. The convergence of SM's presence and Seongsu's creative energy has made it a fan destination.
What to do near SM Seongsu:
- Visit the SM building exterior for photos (no entry)
- Check fan-curated Instagram accounts for current SM artist pop-up cafes in the area — SM often authorizes birthday cafes and comeback pop-ups in Seongsu
- The Seongsu neighborhood itself is excellent for a half-day walk: specialty coffee, bakeries, and independent fashion
SMTOWN & Store at COEX The official SM merchandise store is in COEX Mall, Samseong (삼성역, Line 2). This is the best place to buy SM artist merchandise: photocards, albums (current and archive), limited editions, and official goods for EXO, aespa, NCT, SHINee, and all SM artists.
Hours: COEX regular mall hours (10:30–22:00)
YG Entertainment (와이지엔터테인먼트) — Hapjeong-dong
Artists: BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, WINNER, iKON, Treasure, and more
Address: 322 Donggyo-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul
Access: Hapjeong Station (합정역), Line 2 or 6, Exit 3 — walk approximately 10 minutes toward Mangwon-dong direction
YG's headquarters in Hapjeong is less visually dramatic than HYBE but remains a significant pilgrimage for BLACKPINK and BIGBANG fans. The building exterior is clean modernist — unmistakable YG branding.
Nearby:
- Hongdae is a 10-minute walk — excellent for K-pop shopping and street performance culture
- Mangwon-dong — a local favorite for cafes and independent restaurants, 10 minutes the other direction
- Hapjeong cafes — the neighborhood around Hapjeong Station has a strong independent cafe culture; several are fan-frequented spots
JYP Entertainment (제이와이피 엔터테인먼트) — Nonhyeon-dong
Artists: TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, DAY6, NMIXX, 2PM, and more
Address: 163 Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu (near Nonhyeon or Hakdong Station)
Access: Nonhyeon Station (논현역), Line 9, Exit 3 — walk approximately 8 minutes. Or Hakdong Station (학동역), Line 7.
JYP's building in Gangnam's Nonhyeon area is in a mixed commercial neighborhood. Less scenic for photos than HYBE or YG, but TWICE and Stray Kids fans make the trip.
Nearby:
- Garosu-gil — high-end boutique shopping street, 15 minutes walk
- Cheongdam-dong — luxury district with high-end K-pop store presence
- K-Star Road (Apgujeong Rodeo) — 15-minute walk for the bear sculptures
K-Star Road (케이스타로드) — Apgujeong
Access: Line 3, Apgujeong Station (압구정역), Exit 2
A dedicated K-pop tourist trail along Apgujeong Rodeo Street, featuring large bear sculptures (Gangnam-gu Tourism Bears) representing K-pop groups. Installations are updated periodically. The street leads toward Cheongdam-dong, passing high-end boutiques and the occasional idol-adjacent restaurant.
Also nearby: K-pop merchandise shops, luxury brand stores with idol endorsement windows, and fan-operated pop-up cafes.

Fan Culture Notes
Birthday cafes: Korean fan communities organize themed cafes near label buildings on artist birthdays — check Twitter/X and fan accounts for current events. These community-run cafes are open to all fans and often offer free gifts with purchase.
Etiquette near buildings: Label staff and sometimes artists come and go through these buildings. Maintain a respectful distance; do not block entrances or approach vehicles. Fan culture in Korea is organized and generally self-regulating.
Photo spots: The building exteriors are public spaces — photography is fine. Interior lobby photography policies vary; follow building staff guidance.
